On The Road Again - Destination Rimersburg, PA!

Historical Marker
Our first over-night stop was Elephant Butte, New Mexico. We visited the Elephant Butte Dam and Powerplant, the first ever major dam which was developed in 1912 to harness the power of the Rio Grande River.

Traveling Route 66 into Tucumcari, NM

One of many murals throughout Tucumcari. This  one is on the local Lowe's store.

Our third stop was Oklahoma City where we visited the Oklahoma City National Memorial of the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building where 168 lives were lost, including 19 children. This is a beautiful memorial and there is an interactive museum depicting this tragic event.

Each chair symbolizes a life lost.
