Destination Texas!

This trip is off to a great start with our visit to Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico's Guadalupe Mountains.

                                                                Guadalupe Mountains

Spotted a Desert Bighorn ewe and her lamb as we enter the park.
The entrance to the cavern may appear to be a bit ominous to those that suffer from claustrophia. Joyce bravely puts one foot in front of the other.
                      On our way...

All fears are laid to rest as these fabulous formations are discovered, step by step. We descend 800 feet over 1.25 miles snapping photos all the way. It's said that a picture is worth a thousand words...

It will be hard to top this experience, but we are looking forward to discovering Texas. Leaving tomorrow for San Angelo.
